Crisp Beef and Ricotta Salad with Lemon
Crisp strips of beef over creamy ricotta and fresh lettuce.
- 300 g halal-slaughtered beef steak, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp plain flour
- 2 tbsp lemon juice, replacing balsamic
- 1 head lettuce
- 200 g halal ricotta
- 2 tbsp olive oil for dressing
- 2 tbsp frying oil, estimated
- Season the flour with salt and pepper and toss the thin beef strips in it until coated.
- Heat the frying oil in a pan and cook the beef in batches until browned, crisp and cooked through. Drain on kitchen paper.
- Dress the lettuce with the lemon juice and olive oil. Spread the ricotta over two plates, pile the leaves on top and finish with the crispy beef.
